While the students and teachers a local high school were enjoying their holiday break, HTS was working to replace their condensate tank and all of the steam and condensate piping that was damaged from flooding many years ago.  The corroded piping and components created a major maintenance concern for the school because of constant leaks and inconsistent steam supply to their kitchen.

To avoid interruption of food service and noise during school hours, our steam fitters performed the work when the school was closed for the holidays.  The rusted out, plugged up, and non-functioning equipment and piping was replaced and the condensate system was reconfigured the valves and traps at the kettles to improve kettle cooking performance.  The chef for the school said, ” I am very happy with the new valve locations because of the improved safety for our cooks when operating the kettles.”
