HTS values its long standing relationship with the VA Long Beach Healthcare System.  When it was time to replace three old B&W boilers that no longer met SCAQMD emissions requirements, the US Army Corps of Engineers worked with a local consulting engineering firm to write an almost 1,500 page specification describing what they needed.  The 1000 hp Simoneau D-Type industrial watertube boiler met the VA specification.  We also provided them with a new controls system from Hays Cleveland, a deaerator, a surge tank, burners and SCR systems.  As expected, the new boilers operated at increased efficiencies and significantly lowered emissions.  Once everything was installed and source tested, the facility looked to us to perform the BEI Safety Testing to ensure the boiler plant safety device maintenance, inspection, calibration, and testing was in compliance with the VHA directives as per the VHA testing manual (click here to read that story).

After helping outfit their Central Plant with the latest steam generating equipment, VA Long Beach has continued to protect that investment by calling on HTS to perform routine service, maintenance, and repairs as necessary.  This proactive mindset keeps their equipment running smoothly and lessens the risk of potential issues.

Like the VA Long Beach, many of our clients count on their equipment running 24/7.  Any equipment downtime is costly, not to mention a huge inconvenience.    While we can provide 24 hour service when necessary, we recommend regular maintenance and/or service contracts to keep your equipment in check, which will likely help your Plant Manager’s blood pressure as well!
