Double Boiler Move, No Small Task!
HTS recently set two Simoneau 1,000 hp boilers weighing over 50,000 pounds each at a paper plant, requiring a 450 ton crane, 9 big rigs and a few different crews to properly hoist and place the new equipment. This was a huge team effort from everyone involved starting with Simoneau, the boiler manufacturer, the drivers shipping the boilers from Montreal, the crew responsible for erecting and operating the crane, and the equipment movers who carefully placed the equipment once lifted inside the hole cut in the roof for this purpose. To further complicate this move, all the necessary equipment had to be temporarily staged on the railroad tracks next to the plant, requiring approval and scheduling with the railroad company. This was no small task! A HUGE thank you to the HTS team and industry partners who made this happen!
